Norm Baldwin

Norm Baldwin relocated to Franklin, TN in 92' from Burton, MI. He graduated from Page High

School in 1994, but started working at Cool Springs Paint & Decorating in the summer of 1992.

Over the course of 30 years, he watched the ownership of that store change hands 6 times. He

prides himself on being the constant variable throughout all of those changes.

In 2003 Eddie Kirkland purchased the store and added flooring to the store’s offerings. He

already had a flooring store in Nashville and Brentwood. This is where Norm cut his teeth in the

flooring business.

In February of 2022 it was time to make a change and Norm took the plunge, starting his own

company, Baldwin Family Flooring.

Norm tells us, “I married my wife, Amanda, in 2003. We have 3 kids, Anna, Mary, and James.

All three kids play, or played, sports and that occupies most of our free time. We all love Tims

Ford Lake and we try to get down there any chance we can to play and decompress. We also

love to visit family in Michigan and the Finger Lakes of New York. Generally speaking, there is

always a body of water that we're visiting with friends or family.”



Regarding his love for his business and the service to his clients, he says, “My favorite part of

this business is building relationships and seeing the transformation of what new flooring can do

to a home. It is truly amazing to see an ugly duckling turn into a beautiful swan.”
